This is my real, Fine Art page.
No fan art here.
I set up this DA account so my friends and family can see what I am up to. I have experience building websites but being a part of a community will get me more exposure and less of a headache than starting another page from scratch.
I hope to make a portfolio for art I have done in both college and some in High School.
I will not put anything up for a bit; I have to archive my work first with my digital camera.

Somewhat Short Autobiography:
I was accepted at Harrison High School of the Arts, Lakeland, FL and High School for Performing and Visual Arts (HSPVA), Houston, TX in 8th grade.
I went to HSPVA because my dad had a work-related transfer. By my junior year, the hypocrisy and treachery of the both students and teachers at HSPVA were eating at my soul and my love for art.
I then attended Westside HS, Houston for my senior year and I was less bitter towards art. I became the co-president of Art Club and BNXO of Army JROTC. By the time I graduated, I had mastered most of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, GoLive and Macromedia Dreamweaver.
Then something stupid happened; instead of going to college like a normal person, I enlisted in the Navy. I wanted to work with computers at the time, or be an illustrator.
The nightmare of military life begins: the traumas at boot camp, the loss of my top secret clearance and so on until they changed my rating from being a Crypto. Tech. Inference (Language Specialist CTI) to Electronic Technician (ET) and was forced to enlist an extra 2 years
My tour actually lasted less than 2 years, from 29 Aug 2001 - 20 March 2003. This is because I eventually went crazy and they had to give me an Honorable Discharge, being "Mentally unfit for duty".
So, here I am. A college student living day to day: working in the art studio with the elderly and regular students, baby sitting rich peoples’ kids and occasionally catering at Jewish saders.

Did you really think I wouldn't see this through?
Looking back on this, it makes me nostalgic, and seeing the changes that we've both gone through, I think it's amazing that either of us held on, or that we're continuing to do so even now. While I'm still slightly envious of your talent, we've both come to recognize that it's not so much as being better than someone, but just having a different style -
although I still wish my work was as refined.
